so, i accidentally gave the rights to "pigeons of san marco's square" to a site called picture.com i thought it was a legit photo contest. it was advertised on facebook! anyways it's not that bad because they're publishing it with my name beside it... so, it could have been worse. it's not a real photo contest though, it's a scam, so please don't submit anything to any sites like that. CHECK to see that it's a legit. photo contest, because if it isn't, you might have just ended up on one of those coffee table books.

manipulation is, and will always be, as much "art" as any other form of art. i'm going to manipulate everything I want to from now on (and I'll put it in the manipulation category). i've been sketchy about putting things in that category, fearing that the only "true" category is photography... but i don't feel comfortable with that category, and my work is never natural, nor is it my best, so I need some support so I can make this switch onto a path that suits me better.

I guess I'm celebrating lent this year. I'm giving up trying to hard to become friends with this person. I'm not talking to this person unless I'm spoken to first until Easter! Oh, except in physics class... just so things don't look too suspicious. Maybe then I'll feel a bit more appreciated. This person is unwise and makes bad decisions too, in my opinion. I'll probably detach myself from them a fair deal, which is always good. I guess this means I won't be hurting myself being obsessed! I'll break lent when I feel appreciated, but take it back up when I don't. This is like an excuse to finally stand up for myself to myself. Mayb
